I own a '73 Black Tulip roadster. (Sorry, no picture readily available).
IMHO, it's a very classy look. Very timeless like black but a little more
interesting. Almost looks black from a distance but depending on the light,
the dark purple color is apparent.

Re: this whole colour thing - I think I might have a picture of a Black
Tulip roadster from the 'MG's on the Rocks' show last fall, I'll root
around for it. I agree it's a wonderful colour.
