Uh, Rick, you wanna explain that a little more?  On the MGs I've seen with
the electric oil pressure gauges, including mine which always responds very,
very quickly when I start the car, an oil pressure line runs from the block
to a transducer, which has an electrical connection to the gauge.  I can't
seem to find a thermal link in the setup anywhere.  I've never experienced a
lick of trouble with the electric gauge and I would offer a second opinion
as to why they were replaced with the old direct pressure reading version
(and I do mean OLD) - I'll bet a few bucks that it was a cheaper way to go.
