Oh, is that all you want to know! :-) Obviously, there is no simple answer
to get your car running. Six listers from the Spridgets list just went to
Western PA to help a '67 Sprite back to life. The car has been sitting for
about 20 years. The current owner, Spridgets lister Amy, has owned it for 3
years, but isn't much of a mechanic. (She is learning!) Before that it sat
in a storage garage for a museum. It may have been there for up to 18 years!

The car needed a tune up, new oil and coolant with radiator flush, complete
brake overhaul, fuel pump, some electrical work, some body work, etc. We had
the car running and stopping in less than 9 hours on a Saturday. We started
working at 8 a.m., and Larry Macy took Amy and her little boy for the first
drive at about 5 p.m.

Maybe there are a few listers in your area who could come over and give you a
hand some weekend. We had a ball doing this for Amy. She bought some
obviously needed parts and supplies, and we brought everything we could think
of, including tools, more parts, extra parts, broken parts, a compressor and
more tools, a mig welder, etc, etc, etc. We got dirtier as the car got
cleaner!

Do some preliminary work to find out what the car needs, and post it to the
list. Maybe you can schedule a work weekend and supply food and beer for a
buncha Oregonian listers who will help you, and show you how to do some of
the work.

Anybody near Portland want to have a fun weekend! We had a lister come from
Georgia to help us in Pennsylvania. If the MG listers wimp out, at least you
will get some suggestions on where to start.
