That's not from exhaust, it's your heater, the valve is not shutting off
the coolant completely. The heat from the exhaust radiates from the
floor, and will melt your heel!
Instant fix: close the vent door (and open the fresh air vent).
Proper fix: Adjust the cable connection at the valve to be fully closed
when the knob is set to "off." If it is still hot, get a new valve.
