Hmm, in 4th OD I am usually cruising at 3000rpm... <g>... at which point I
am showing about 70psi warm. I don't think 45 means anything is wrong,
though, given the margin of error in the gauge calibration.

I have heard that the oscillation may be due to the oil pressure relief
valve opening and closing, when by pure chance the current pressure is right
at the threshold. Seems plausible, and I have observed this phenomenon
myself occasionally, although usually at idle in my case.
