We are cleaning up a lot of engine components in preparation for rebuilding
this weekend. We are taking the oil pan, valve cover, side covers, timing
cover and some other stuff down to bare metal. Does any know if a regular
primer under engine paint will hold up with the heat of an engine? Would we
be better off just painting the stuff with engine paint and forgetting about
the primer? We are doing this later today so any replies will be
appreciated.
