manifold gasket

When I rebuild my motor, the mechanic whose shop I was using insisted that I
take a right angle grinder with a sander pad to clean off all the gasket
surfaces on the manifold. Got all traces of the gasket off, and polished the
manifold for a flat surface. Took about 20 minutes in all, wearing my face
mask for protection.
