Need piston ring advice

Hi gang,
I need your advice on piston rings.
I've just recieved my freshly machined  MGB series GB engine from the machine 
shop. The pistons I bought for this .030 over rebuild came assembled with 4 
rings.....3 tapered and 1 oil control.
The book calls for 1 parallel ring, 2 tapered and 1 oil control. 
Will I run into trouble without the parallel ring?
