Dennis,
We just got through with a AH-BJ8 that had not run in 12 years, did as you
with the oil and solvents. We checked compression, 150 across the board. The
BJ8 is now on the road with the ability to start and stop. It still needed
body restoration.
Got an other in the shop this week, has not run in 15 years. Used same as
above and it has 145 compression across the board.
Have you checked your engine? If not please do so.
