All due respect, but don't we all wear seat belts? And the core of the
wheel, like most, is metal, so there aren't going to be alot or wood
splinters. Just hope the metal doesn't give out on any of the wheels, now
*that* would hurt!!

Kind regards,

Steering Wheel sizes.

I've got a 73 B Roadster with a stock steering wheel, which I'd like to
replace with a Moto-Lita leather wrapped wheel.

The seats in my B are old and crushed and you sit very low, but the steering
wheel is uncomfortably close to my legs. It makes it tough to get out
sometimes.

I've read some people here saying that 13" was too small, that it induced
oversteer because of the shorter throw to turn a certain number of degrees.

Anyone have opinions on steering wheel sizes?

As a side note, I had been looking at those sexy Mahogany wheels until
someone here had to go bring reality into the picture and mention what
happens when you wreck and a shattered wooden steering wheel hits you in the
chest.
