I'm well into my front end surgery, and the right front
was truly a mess.
Both upper cross member bushes are gone as near as
I can tell, I haven't dropped the cross member yet.
The shock was shot, a good 1/2 inch or more of play
before any resistance.
The hole for the lower fulcrum are elongated.
The cotter pin hole was 1/4 to 3/8 inch beyond the
castlated nut. On the left side too. I think the distance tube
wasn't put in, maybe. And there was a gouge cut in the fulcrum pin
about 1/4 deep.
The lower fulcrum pin is still stuck in the bottom of the
kingpin.

The left side is much better. The hole in the a-arms are still round.
One of the nuts for the inner part of the a-arm wasn't castlated. The
bottom came apart. But the top fulcrum pin is still fighting me. I've
got it most of the way through one side of the shock, and it should go
once I get it the rest.

Any hints on getting this through? I'm using a BFH but don't have a
real punch. Maybe I'd better go get one?

I'm replacing the a-arms, bushes, fulcrum pins, and shocks. I'm
wondering since that pin seems locked into the bottom of the kingpin,
if I need to do them too? They have good easy motion, but the bottom may
be ruined.

Ideas?

I think I'll go tune up the lawn mower for a while.

As with everything for me, a one day job is going to be 2 weeks for me.
:-)

Oh, interestingly, the inner bushes were V8 bushes. I'm doing everything
in poly.
