But totally unnecessary! If wire wheels are true and have no broken spokes
and no damage to the rims, and if the tires are in good condition, it should
be possible for them to be balanced so there is no shimmy whatsoever. This
balancing of wire wheels thread was beaten to death about a year ago so it's
probably in someone's archives if you're interested.
