Chris-

You have three choices:

1. Hacksaw off the bracket, grind to shape with a die grinder.
2. Buy a Moss alloy repro; I've heard they occasionally leak.
3. Buy a UK-spec cast iron housing.

Several few months ago I went to England and bought three UK spec housings
at a junkyard/breakers - all they had.  The parts guy couldn't figure out
why I wanted these so badly.  Here's a photo of the bracket:

I sold the others on eBay - paid for my pints all week ;-)

FWIW, the alloy housing for the earlier cars will fit the head, but the
outlet points away from the radiator.
