Mike,
When I changed to lowered springs on mine I only removed the inner pan bolts
and loosened the outer ones (kingpin side). This allowed the pan to rotate
down (using a trolley jack) slowly removing tension and giving access to the
springs. Assembly was the reverse. Granted the new ones were a little
shorter than the old but I believe I could have put the old ones right back
in.
