Dave,

   If it were a TD I'd say that it's a loose tachometer drive gearbox swinging
against the distributor power connector.  This will momentarily cause the engine
to cut out above some engine speed and is fine at idle.  See if you may not have
some sort of loose wire in your ignition circuit that could be shorting out when
the engine moves slightly.  Good luck.
