Even a 'breathing' top cover will trap damp air inside the cockpit even if
it stops dampness developing between cover and body.  Any cover in contact
with the paint will fret it when the wind flaps it.  Have you thought about
a cockpit cover that just goes over the top and screen and leaves the rest
of the body uncovered?
