A lot has changed.  A lot more cars on the road.  A lot more miles driven.
While you may be good enough to avoid causing an accident, the chances are
much higher now that you'll be creamed by someone else.

Interesting fact is that even with the 'high' prices of gas right now, when
adjusted to constant dollars, it's actually cheaper now than it was in the
1950's.....
