Ben,
     Amiss during a no load situation may be something
like a slight dual point dizzy problem..As the
flyweights are running at a constant speed, a slight
miss on a set of points will be noticed more than if
the car is gaining RPM all the time..Also, is there a
slight vaccuum leak somewhere in the line from the
manifold to the dizzy?
