You can use 20w fork oil available at motorcycle shops.

Some people have changed to STP to stiffen the suspension, and they usually 
end up blowing out the valve completely.  Talk to Peter C. at World Wide Auto 
Parts about adjusting your shock stiffness.  He can supply any parts you need, 
and has the expertise to keep you out of trouble!   Contact him at 
nosimport@mailbag.com and if your shox show any signs of leaking, buy rebuilts 
from him.  
They are NOT expensive, he will valve them any way you want, and you will be 
completely satisfied.  They are better than new.
