Another Heater Box Cover Seal Question

Hi All

I am at the stage where I can finally put my Heater Box back into the 68B.

The Moss Cat lists the item as BHH389 for 70 on cars.
I do not remember taking a seal like this one out of the car when I stripped
it (but my fading memory is no excuse)

Should I consider putting on of these seals in, or am I supposed to be
putting on in?
