Hi Albert:

You got just a little carried away here, didn't you?

"Corvette Killing" - NOT!

I owned a B roadster myself for over 15 years until just recently.
Completely rebuilt is twice myself. I am intimately familiar with them, the
culture and their performance capabilities, including superchargers. Didn't
buy a supercharger for MY B though. Bought a C-5 (the currently produced
version) Corvette roadster instead - and let me tell you from personal
experience that there is no way a B with even TRIPLE the stock MG HP would
be a "Corvette Killer".

I loved my Black Beauty B. It was a GREAT car, FOR WHAT IT WAS. But a
Corvette killer MG's are not (and cannot be without a engine/drive train
transplant and more), supercharger or not. Additionally, the stock drive
train would never hold up under the power and torque of triple the HP, if
you could figure a way to produce that much HP from any MG power plant. It
is questionable how long an MG drive train will hold up with the 175-200 HP
that a well done supercharger job would produce, especially if the driver
used all that HP much. If the driver is out dragging Vettes much, it sure
wouldn't last very long.

As far as Vipers go (500 HP stock), they can out drag a stock Vette (345 to
405 HP stock, depending on model) - and, while I can tattoo most production
Porsche models that are out on the streets, there are some limited
production models of it that will out drag my Vette from 0 to 60.

A supercharged B IS awesome, especially to an MG aficionado - but not quite
THAT awesome.

Know any supercharged (MG engine) B's that might want to drag, pink slip for
pink slip??? I miss my B and I'd love to get back into the MG business
again!!

Kelvin,
Thanks for all your help and participation on July 20th at our 13th Annual
British Car Show at the Ventura Yacht Harbor. The Moss Motors display of
those
two Supercharged MGB's was awesome! Who'd think that the serene lil' MGB
that
pulls in next to you at the stop light was a Corvette Killing, Porshe
eating,
Viper beating beast capable of smoking them in all 4 gears. Plus I was
totally
blown away when you told me that build time to attach the Eaton Blower unit
and all of the ancilary hardware and plumbing was well under 5 hours. End
result: Some of the nicest and cleanest work I've ever seen! It really
looked as if
it was part of the original factory or stock set-up, it was that nicely put
together! I'm sure that it'd probably pass even a Highway check by a
"Smoky"! I
was going to ask you to kick one of the two engines over to hear what they
sounded like when your Lady, Debbie drove up in the chrome bumper example of

your MGB RB Killer B That answered my question far better than any
explanation.."Its Undetectible" as far as I could tell and I was really
listening for that
tell-tale hissing and whistleing that usually gives away most turbo or
supercharged cars. All in all that would be the best spent money anyone
could as for.
Especially nice for the "DIY" crowd with all the parts looking pleasently
and
professionally well done. I'd like to do a feature in the "Hooter" on the
two
Killer B's. Let me know. Fantastico! (p.s. Now I know what to ask Santa to
bring me for Christmas!)
