I recently received a 1976 Midget 1500 from my uncle. The engine was rebuilt about 1000 miles ago (even though it was several years ago. ) I have a problem with the engine backfiring. When I let off of the gas to shift gears it backfires through the tailpipe. If I take the rpm up to about 3000 and wait a few seconds before shifting it does not back fire. Any suggestions? /// or try http://www.team.net/cgi-bin/majorcool /// Archives at http://www.team.net/archive |
