  You really need toadd more detail,butfrom what you have stated I would
venture a guess.

   Check your motor mounts. I realize you have an earlier car and personally
I have never seen an early one fail, But that is my guess. See if the
symptom goes away when you drive in reverse.

  At least it will give you somethin to rule out.
