Steve:
The rumble you have could be caused by uneven engine pulses and might
have nothing to do with the oil change.
1) Do a compression check to make sure all are the same. One low
cylinder will cause unevenness. That will give you a clue as to what to
check next.
2) Check the valve settings again. Cold is okay. You needn't set
them as you want to verify they are all the same.
3) Check the ignition timing and setting.
