For a standard camshaft only and the head attached. (There is no need for
the head to be finally fitted if you havn't got that far yet. Just use an
old gasket and fasten the head nuts a bit more than hand tight)

Fit the pushrod for N0.1 inlet only. You will also need at least No.1 inlet
valve and rocker fitted as well.
Set rocker clearance to 0.060"  off the back of the cam lobe.
Turn camshaft by hand clockwise untll the clearance is fully taken up.

Turn crankshaft untill No.1 piston is at top dead centre.

Fit timing wheels and chain.
