Guys,
I don't know how many of you knew Sid , and many of you may wish you had.
He retired early from Shell oil ( I think it was), purchased a gas station
and then a J2, discovered it was a very early number, #253 or 254, and then
started an enthusiasm and collection which is unparalleled.
He developed a close friendship with Pop, and helped in the hard times with
the Club back in the 60's and 70's. Continued to race his K3 and his R type
when younger men had given up! Was generous to his friends, he let me drive his
NE on one memorable occasion.
He will be missed - another one of that generation, there are so few left

Aye

Peter Thornley

I have just heard that Syd Beer passed away yesterday. I thought you would
like to know.

The funeral is on 21 October at 3pm at Cambridge crematorium.

Please pass on to anyone who may like to know.
