They will not be even all the way across (if this is your concern) because the 
cam will have some in a higher position.  They don't seat on the cam anyway 
they 
seat in the lifters which ride on the cam.  I don't know of anywhere else they 
could go, just drop them in and put the rocker assembly back on.
