Um, why buy all new hubs? I mean for the price of new hubs, you can buy a disc
wheeled
MGB parts car. When I converted my '68 GT (the rally car) over, I had a
bolt-on setup
from a parts car. You can often find the bits for fairly cheap, e-bay etc.
Since there are so many people who want wires instead of bolt-ons, often a
trade can
be arranged at the local MG club! Swap front hubs and rear axles with someone
that always wanted wires, and you're done! Cheap too, and a great way to meet
wrenching friends.
A word of warning: you can not just put on the rear bolt-on hubs on a wire
wheel
rear axle, the wire wheel axle housing is narrower than the bolt-on, and you'll
end
up with some tire interference, _unless_ you change the offset of the rear
wheels.
I've done this fitting ex-Datsun Z-car aftermarkets to an autocrosser, but this
was
a car with slightly flared fenders and all.
