52nd Annual Rallye Glenwood Springs, June 11-13, 2004

The MG Car Club, Rocky Mountain Centre, www.mgcc.org will be holding their
52nd Annual Rallye Glenwood Springs on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, June
11, 12, & 13, 2004. This is the oldest continuously held rally in the United
States. 250 people with over 130 cars are expected to participate. The
majestic Colorado Rocky Mountains are the backdrop for the 52nd Annual
running of the MG Car Club's Rallye Glenwood Springs.

For fifty-two years, vintage and classic cars throughout the Rocky Mountain
region have shared the road with their newer counterparts for a weekend of
fun and octane-related festivities.

The three-day event begins on Friday with a Tour, involving all
participants, from Denver to Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Saturday's main
event is the 52nd Rallye Glenwood Springs, a time, speed, distance (TSD)
event to challenge the novice as well as the experienced rallyist. The
weekend culminates with the Car Show and Funkhana on Sunday morning. The
event is a marvelous opportunity for car enthusiasts of every marque to join
together for a weekend of unique events as well as some of the most
breathtaking scenery in America.

Comment by the British Motoring Club of Northern Colorado:

BMCNC members have attended this event for years. It's a fun event in
beautiful mountain scenery, coupled with the camaraderie of British sports
car enthusiasts from around the region (even Kansas!).See lots of
beautifully restored vehicles of all marques, unrestored beaters, new cars,
even the family Buick out on the road where they belong! Watch Deb and Russ
Hulting put on a Funkana driving demonstration that has to be seen to be
believed!

The Friday tour is on mostly back roads (all paved) from Denver to Glenwood
Springs. The Saturday rallye is a TSD event designed to challenge the
seriously hard-core competitors or just a nice "drive-around" scenic tour
for the "Dead-Last-But-Finished" crowd. The Sunday Car Show and Funkana takes
place on the grassy banks of the Colorado River in downtown Glenwood
Springs.

Group rates are available at the three hotels clustered at the event
headquarters (Ramada Inn).I recommend you make reservations now, as they
fill up quickly! These hotels are just 3 blocks from the world-famous
Glenwood Hot Springs, so bring your bathing suit, too.

For more information and hotel phone numbers, log on to http://mgcc.org,
then click on the 2004 Glenwood Rallye Information link. We'll send out
another alert when the official registration forms are posted on the MGCC
website. We're also making plans for an alternative Saturday night dinner
in Basalt for BMCNC club members who wish to forgo the MGCC awards banquet
(optional event).
