Hi Barrie,

Nice story!
USA spec B's and Midgets have from certain years separate tank ventilation
as part of Evaporate Loss system.
So the tank filler cap in this case has no ventilation gap which might
become clogged.
My ex Calif '71 BGT has not vent hole in the cap as well.
