Agreed. I have seen that the stiffness puts strains in places where they shouldn't be. That can cause the gears to have to push/pull the worm too hard, causing wear on the worm, the gear and the surrounding enclosure that holds the two at the proper clearance. rick > Stiffness or hardened grease can certainly cause the wipers to run slowly, > and even stall.
