My guess would be evaporative loss, not necessarily unusual. Did you also 
install the heat shield with the HS4s? It is also possible to have leakage 
on the jet tubes that go to the bottom of the float bowls. Just run your 
finger along the bottom of the tubes - it should be dry. Same with the 
point where they screw into the float bowls. I've had leaks there before 
when the rubber gasket inside deteriorates.
