A couple of options, a company called McMasters & Carr has a good product from
other MG owners I know. You would have o do a search on that. There is also a
water heater insulator pad that comes in a big very cheap, roll from Home
Depot. Just a couple of ideas off the top. I used some Dyna Mat and was not
that happy with it myself.

I've got a carpet kit
ready for installation that came with a pad already attached to it, so I
don't need to put down a carpet pad, but I'm looking for something as a
heat/sound barrier between the floorplan / transmission tunnel and the
carpet. Any ideas on products, adhesives, etc?
