So you replaced the switch, that did nothing, put back the old switch and
they worked?  Strikes me you still have some intermittent connections
somewhere waiting to fail again.  You should have done your voltage
measurements *before* removing the switch (and certainly before buying a new
one!).

The courtesy lights are *inside* the car.  If just one corner of the parking
lights isn't working it could be the bulb, or connectors behind the grill.
If the 2-fuse model it could be either side, if the 4-fuse (1970 on) it will
be on the faulty side only (red wires).  Could also be the bulb holder of
course.

Which connector?  I'll assume bullet as you indicate both sides were
affected  If the bullets are loose the connector has had it, replace it, it
is only pennies.
