Thomas,
I would check the > lock out switch, instead of the pressure relief
assembly. Bob was correct in his description of the pump. It does have to
go in only one way. You can buy a pressure tester. See attachment. I have
been there and done that with all of these components, and usually it has
been the lockout switch.

The oil pressure gauge attaches to the LH case at the relief valve plug
- see attached scan of the relevant manual section. I've also attached a
photo of the LH type gauge set I have available. Please let me know if you
need more information - or a gauge.
