I though it was "pome," pronounced pomie, derived from "Prisoners Of Mother  
England," often used with another two syllable word starting with a "B", as  
in "Those rotten pome b-------"
But maybe I was misinformed.

Aimed?   Pointed?

A Pom is our pet name for English people (but only for the  ones we 
really, really like :-)
