rear rebound straps

It's been a long time since I've had any rebound straps on the rear of my
GT.  I'm looking into them as a possible way to limit the rebound travel of
the rear suspension.  Can anyone tell me approximately how much travel the
car would have between ride height and when the straps pull tight?
 
Alternatively, does anyone have any other solutions for limiting rear
rebound travel.  The car is pretty much an autocross car all the time
