That's just to make sure only the correct sized slave can be fitted to the
backplate.  Something you have to bear in mind when moving axles or backplates
from a GT to a roadster as I did.

  Believe also that there is a locating pin difference between the
  roadster and GT wheel cylinders for fitment.
