I believe it is a replacement electronic ignition system. The box on the
fender well is labeled Lucas AB14 electronic ignition. I didn't notice any
rivets and the small piece of metal that rides against the distributor shaft
appeared ok. I find it strange that the car runs perfectly if driven daily
and only fails to start if it sits for awhile. I would think a problem with
the rotor or ignition system would be more pronounced when driving.
