Perhaps a variation of this thread but an overdrive question. On the LH =
overdrives, there are two types =E2=80=93 the black label and the blue =
label. Are these interchangeable? I have a 1972 OD transmission =
(dipstick) but the OD is the newer blue label. Will this actually work? =
It does not at present and my next step was to check the oil pump (need =
to fabricate a tool to get the plug off).

The story =E2=80=93 I took my OD (with black label) to a shop near =
Portland, OR. They could not replace the clutch disk so opted to just =
fit this blue label OD on =E2=80=93 which does not work currently. That =
was their fix after the transmission sat in their shop for several years =
so they didn=E2=80=99t charge me for it. Everything works except OD.
