Thought I would update and maybe provide a little humor here.

 

The windows were not properly in the channel when rolled down.

 

Took the door panel off, lifted up the plastic moisture seal and was
prepared to follow the many hints I had been given.

 

Finally figured out - that angle piece at the bottom that holds the channel
and the window snug - when they restored the car both sides were put in
backwards, allowing slop and creating the problem!

Took us longer to get to it and put everything back than to actually fix it!
