I told you all that I'd keep you posted on the Side curtain seals.

First off, for those that answered my post about what the supports
looked like, it appears that they were orginally Zinc plated (looks
sort of silver). I took them to a plating shop and they tested the
metal and said it was just Zinc. So had the 4 support brackets
replated.

Next. The glass (plexiglass to be more correct). I went to a
local hardware store and got a piece of plexiglass big enough to
make all 4 window pieces. This cost about $15. Since this was
a mom and pop store, they were all to helpfull in cutting it also.
We marked out the sizes and made all the streight cuts. Fine tuning
was done on a belt sander.

I called Bob Couch looking for it. The long and short of it was
he doesn't have it in stock. He said he just orders new Side
curtains (@ $750) when he restores a carany. So I called Penny.
She had some (a very little). However, she said that the Factory
has changed the size of the side curtain some and the rubber doesn't
fit the older curtains. If you want, you might be able to cut it
down with a rasor blade. (No thanks)

I started looking for the seals from Metro Molded and Restoration
Specialities. The one from Metro was L97-B a universal seal. The
one from Restoration Specialities was 2897B for a 36-46 Chevy Truck.

NEITHER ONE FITS.

So, I guess I'll send a sample off to both Metro & Restoration
to see if they can make it. Don't know what it will cost.
I'll keep you all posted.

How many of you would be interested in getting some.
