As a '67 Morgan 4/4 owner I can absolutely certify that my car came out of
the factory with an instrument cluster sans temperature gauge.  My instrument
cluster has a fuel gauge, an oil pressure gauge and an ammeter - no
temperature gauge.  Also my engine is a Ford 4 cylinder 1600 cc cross-flow
 painted in black.
