Overdrive in High? Most older transmissions that I am familiar with (not that
many..) are locked straight through in high gear. Newer five speeds do have
an "overdrive" fifth as did some JAP four spees- but aside from newer Mogs- I
don't believe it is possible to decrease (or increase) revs in top gear
except by changing the rear-end ratio.
I have mated several Laycock OD's to Moss boxes (have one for sale in fact..)
and there may be a Laycock for the 4/4- but I am unfamiliar with that box.
I'd like to know more..
