Since 1991, I have junked the damper blades and shims in 1991, 1994 and
1996, at roughly 30,000 miles a set, (the last time because it was
easier to replace new on the bench than bother rebuilding the old set).
Making do isn't worth it.

I drove a friends car with decambered front suspension and it felt 'on
edge' to me- as a road car I cannot see the point as it seemed to make
driving any distance more tiring.
