OPTIMA Batteries

John,
I do not know too much regarding technical information, but OPTIMA batteries
are available here in Australia.  They are American made and are VERY EXPENSIVE
(about 5 times the cost of a normal car battery - that is about $A380-00).
Optima batteries are fully sealed and apparently have "circular" plates (like a
coil) manufactured from very high purity components.  They have an alleged
cranking current capability of over 800 amps and have a 2 year full warranty
and a further 4 years pro-rata warranty.
Perhaps their high "current dumping" capability is ideally suitable for Morgan
use because of the Morgan's "long", high resistance travel through the chassis
from a rear-mounted battery to the starter motor?
