A few months ago, I purchased what was essentially a one owner car (a friend
bought it from the estate of the original owner a few months earlier & drove
it 300 miles). Its a '63 +4, 4 seater. Other than a repaint and the seats
being recovered, the car was very original with about 66000 miles.
Everywhere I checked I've found good wood. The firewall was rusty, especially
under the battery. It was in very good running condition, except for tired
kingpin bushings. The weather gear was excellent. I paid $12k for it and
drove it home from MD to SC the next day. At the moment it's covering about
1000 miles a month as my daily driver.
