We are attempting to ascertain the year of manufacture of an Aero which came
to New Zealand some years ago as a wreck.
The chassis and gearbox were complete but bore no numbers. The age and
condition of these and the accompanying bits make us believe that everything
is genuine.
>From Ken Hill's book and numerous other sources it appears that a "ballpark"
year can be obtained by the size and dimensions of the bevelbox and forks -
we are talking mid-20s here.
Does anyone have the various dimensions involved - by year - for the period
1923-1927.
Any information gratefully received.
I have yet to contact the gentleman who originally brought the car into New
Zealand - he is proving a bit elusive.
PS - in case you are wondering, the car has been totally rebuilt and is
about to join the Family in my garage - it will be the oldest mobile Morgan
in New Zealand.
