Fellow Morganeers:
True, SUs do look traditional on a Morgan, but do remember that Flat Rad
cars DID come with a single downdraft carb on the Vanguard engine.
A previous owner of my Flat Rad put on a high port head on the Vanguard
block and used the long SUs on the short manifold (TR3 setup). Of course
there is a bonnet bulge for the front carb. One day that may get
changed. I do have a pair of the short SUs for a Triumph motor and was
hoping that the short-short combination might work. Sounds like Tony has
already discovered it doesn't work. C'est la vie.
