This weeks Autocar in the UK (2nd June issue), has three sections on
Morgan's.
In the news section the new morgan plus 8 super sport is described
(speculated on!) along with
an artists impression. Also in the 'top 100 sportscars' article, the
plus 8 and
three wheeler super sports get sections.
The new morgan plus 8 Super Sport looks gorgeous, its based on the GT2
chassis, weight ~1000kg
(probably) powered by the 4.4 litre BMW V8 tuned to 300 BHP to give a
0-60 of ~5 seconds, top speed
over 128 mph. The shape looks much more aerodynamic with recessed
headlights, sloped screen,
and a reworked backend.
Only downside is the estimated 50,000 UKP price tag.
its still looks every bit a morgan, but much more modern.
